[284]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE NATURAL AND THE SUPERNATURAL
The Natural is what the world is. The Supernatural is what the Christian is in the world. This poem had its start in 1970 with the first three stanzas, but later on I added the balance, and that was the last three stanzas.
If the first 3 stanzas were all the poem is, it would be a fatalistic poem and no help to anyone. It would just reinforce despair. However the truth is that those three stanzas represent what the world is when Christ is rejected. Sadly that is what nearly all in the world are because how many are really born again?
I can not understand atheists. I wonder how many of them REALLY believe what they claim to believe. This world is so full of creation’s intricate workings that it is impossible for some chaotic explosion of evolution to produce what we know and see. I used the expression “endless round of revolution” in the first line, and that is the world. It just keeps revolving in human knowledge and delusion. It is a very sad world.
However the whole answer to that in the Supernatural stanzas is Jesus Christ and that puts everything in perspective. The Christian has peace; the authority of God’s word; and a hope. That is what the last 3 stanzas are about.

THE NATURAL
Endless round of revolution.
Final end of evolution.
Cast adrift without solution -
This is our fate.

A dreary life, a fruitless life.
A war-filled life of endless strife.
Pervading scepticism's rife -
This is our world.

So, one short year or one long year.
Advance toward the end is near.
Then life we live but death we fear -
This is our end.

THE SUPERNATURAL
Eternity has been secured,
Since our salvation’s been procured,
Through the cross which Christ endured -
This is our peace.

Here we have a revelation
For the present generation,
From their sin and degradation -
This is our word. ( OR …God’s word)

He will come in exaltation
With His holy salutation.
Great will be our jubilation -
This is our hope.
