[259]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE COLD FROSTY NIGHT REVEALS THE DAWN

The cold, frosty night is this current existence in the world where Christians live and are waiting for their Lord to come. The dawn is the coming of the Lord. A number of people correctly see this coming for the Church and for Christians past and present, as the Rapture.

There are some rather misled Christians or “Christians” who think the world is getting better. That is an error, for the true facts are these – {{2 Timothy 3:1-5 “Realise this, that IN THE LAST DAYS DIFFICULT TIMES WILL COME, for men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, TREACHEROUS, RECKLESS, CONCEITED, LOVERS OF PLEASURE RATHER THAN LOVERS OF GOD, (and) holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power. Avoid such men as these.”}}

That certainly is not a picture of a world getting better. Take off those glasses of distortion and see this horrible world where so many Christians are killed daily for their faith, especially in African nations.

Have you ever camped somewhere or been travelling slowly in foul weather when the night is bleak and the rain is cold and everything is just miserable, and then it becomes frosty? All you are looking forward to is the dawn when the sun will come up. That is the basis behind this poem as Christians wait for the dawning of the new day in the presence of the Lord. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

There are a lot of scriptures that we can work into this poem. I hope the poem lines here remind you of certain scriptures as you read the poem. I am just going to refer to two of them:-

[A]. For the lines – “Heartaches will vanish, when to the saints’ joyous wonder, They’ll see the Lord with their expectant eyes.” ? {{1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that when He appears, we shall be like Him because WE SHALL SEE HIM JUST AS HE IS.”}}

[B]. For the lines – “Rest in peace little flock, for you are Mine forever. My precious redeemed ones so much I love,” ? {{Luke 12:32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.”}}

You will match others if you know the scriptures.

THE COLD FROSTY NIGHT REVEALS THE DAWN

It’s the hope of His coming we shall all be seeking,

Christ the Redeemer coming for His own.

As the trav’ller in the cold frosty night is waiting,

So shall we for the dawn, that will be known.

=====================

Heartaches will vanish, when to the saints’ joyous wonder,

They’ll see the Lord with their expectant eyes.

All around the world, the righteous ones will be gathered

To His victorious call in the skies.

=====================

Now cast away fear, and throw out your melancholy.

Let not your hearts be troubled, but in tune

For dark, gloomy paths will rob you of your joyfulness.

Rejoice in your soul for the Lord comes soon.

=====================

If I go away I shall receive you to Myself.

Where My loved ones are, there I am with them.

There is for now, but a moment of separation.

You are the flowers but I am the Stem.

=====================

Rest in peace little flock, for you are Mine forever.

My precious redeemed ones so much I love,

Your home in heaven is waiting, and soon I will come.

I watch you, and care for you from above.

=====================

We love You, Lord Jesus, for what you have done for us.

It is a giving love combined with grace.

As Christ rejecters we did not deserve anything,

But the tender Lord removed our disgrace.

=====================

Expectant eyes will look on Him when the Rapture comes.

We’ll rejoice with special praise to our Lord.

Do not forget that Jesus is waiting for His Bride,

And He comes for us to claim His reward.

=====================

In heaven, with all the redeemed from all the ages,

Who can remotely understand that scene?

Light and purity and angels and saints:

Wonders that human eyes have not foreseen.
