[258]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – THE CHRISTIAN’S LIFE THE CHRISTIAN’S HOPE
Nothing is more meaningful than being a Christian who knows he/she has passed from death into life. It is a precious position that those in the world do not know; nor do they care. {{1 John 3:14 “We know that we have passed out of death into life because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.”}}

As the title says, this poem covers the Christian’s life and the hope that results from that. I wrote this as a personal poem, expressing the feelings I had at the time. This world is not pleasant and is collapsing so quickly. Nations are not able to balance finances and terrorism is beginning to take hold. Islam is making inroads and killing Christians. We live in difficult times.
I want Jesus my Lord to come again to call His Church home. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Revelation 4:1.
We must be bold and courageous in our Christian lives, and we must be steadfast in our glorious hope. {{1 Thessalonians 5:8 “but since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.”}}
I hope we can all sign off on the last stanza. All Christians need to.

Lord, we are members of Your Church,
Waiting here for Your return.
While those outside, Your Name besmirch,
We disciples wish to learn.

Teach us more of Your mighty love;
More of Your wonderful grace.
Transport our souls to You above;
Let us see Your lovely face.
================
Just a short time will pass until
He calls us to His presence.
Then our souls and spirits will fill
With His glory so immense.
================
Now I wait in expectation,
Of that glory that’s ahead.
There, the fullness of salvation,
In the Lamb by whom I’m led.
================
I love You, Lord; I truly do,
For all the things You have done.
It’s only in You, I can construe.
The victory Calvary won.
