[232]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - REFLECTIONS ON THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
The poem explores some aspects of our faith. Each stanza makes a statement beginning with "What".
STANZA 1 – Christ is glorified, and one day we will share in that glory.
STANZA 2 – As perfect Man Jesus helps us in our infirmities. He understands.
STANZA 3 - We were rebellious and helpless but Christ died for us. Then we will know His love more.
STANZA 4 - We have hope through the Spirit and look forward to the Lord’s return
STANZA 5 – All this results in worship to our dear Lord.
Those 5 aspects are covered but there is so much more. We love Him because He first loved us. Here are some verses that suit the subjects.
(1). {{1 Peter 1:21 “who through Him are believers in God who raised Him from the dead AND GAVE HIM GLORY, so that your faith and hope are in God.”}}
(2). {{Hebrews 2:18 “Since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to COME TO THE AID OF THOSE WHO ARE TEMPTED.”}}
(3). {{Romans 5:6 “While WE WERE STILL HELPLESS, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly”}}
(4). {{Titus 2:13 “looking for THE BLESSED HOPE and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus.”}}
(5). {{Revelation 4:10-11 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, AND WILL WORSHIP HIM WHO LIVES FOREVER AND EVER, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed and were created.”}}
I am sure you will be able to list your own highlights in your Christian life as you reflect on them.

REFLECTIONS ON THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
What glory, Lord, it is for us to know,
That You ascended to the Father’s side.
Your passion ended, then to glory raised -
Sweet promise then, that we’ll be glorified.
==============================
What comfort great in which we find this rest,
That Jesus Christ, full human nature had.
He knew the pains, and suffered mocking jibes,
So He helps those, who suffering has clad.
==============================
What thankful praise to Him escapes our lips,
That in our helpless state, for us Christ died.
We showed no love but God’s grace worked with us,
When for our sins, the Christ was crucified.
==============================
What blesséd hope - the Spirit yearns in us,
That confidence we have of Christ’s return.
Then full redemption will accomplished be,
So perfectly, more of His love we’ll learn.
==============================
What worship then to Him should thus arise;-
That Christ must be exalted in His place -
The Lamb of God, Redeemer, Lord, and King.
Such worship sweet, before Him, face to face.
