[193]. MESSAGE FROM A POEM– NO ONE ELSE IS WORTHY OF SUCH PRAISE
This poem is the focus on the worthiness of the Lord for no one else is worthy. Jesus is the One who died, and was raised again for our sins.
There is so much these days of showmanship that is not worship. We hear song people say, “Let us worship the Lord by singing “such and such” but what they sing is not true worship to the Lord; often the song is ego-centric and very insubstantial.
Take a look at where the focus of worship is – {{Revelation 4:9-11 When the living creatures give glory and honour and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, AND WILL WORSHIP HIM WHO LIVES FOREVER AND EVER, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “WORTHY ARE YOU, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed and were created.”}}
{{Revelation 5:12-13 saying with a loud voice, “WORTHY IS THE LAMB that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing,” and every created thing, which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honour and glory and dominion forever and ever,”}}
THAT IS WHAT TRUE WORSHIP IS! It connects with the fact that the Lord is worthy. Much of the superficial stuff people sing is not getting to the heart of the ONE WHO IS WORTHY. Worship is one of the most misused words today in churches.
My plea would be to forget all this jingly superficial stuff and get to the heart of worship which is Jesus ALONE. The devout and sincere men and women who lived mainly from 1700-1950 A.D. wrote marvellous hymns of worship extolling the worthiness of the Lord, but they are dismissed today for all these 7-11 songs (11 words sung 7 times – maybe that is a little facetious, but you get what I mean, I hope.
My purpose in this poem is to develop the reasons why the Lord is worthy of praise. I hope you can see that. The Lord bless all those who fit into these verses – {{John 4:23-24 “but an hour is coming, and now is, when the TRUE WORSHIPPERS SHALL WORSHIP THE FATHER in spirit and truth, for such people the Father seeks to be His worshippers. God is spirit, and THOSE WHO WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH.”}}

NO ONE ELSE IS WORTHY OF SUCH PRAISE
Worship our God with uplifted voice.
So why must that be done?
Worship the Creator, now rejoice;
Praise Christ, eternal Son.
Saviour of the world, Redeemer, Lord,
The Lamb of God did die;
Sacrificed, our sins upon Him poured.
Lamb of God, lifted high!
==========================
Come and sing to Him the Saviour Christ.
He is worthy of praise.
His sacrificial love is unpriced.
He’s good in all His ways.
Heaven’s adornment, the risen Lord,
Is seated on His throne.
Malicious Satan against Him roared.
Jesus battled alone!
==========================
Men throughout, right now will squash God’s love.
It’s hate that drives them on.
Their eyes are fixed on earth, not above -
Sins’ victims in this con.
The saints however, God’s love has bought.
That drives us to the Lord.
Our eyes are focussed on heaven’s court,
All perfectly unflawed!
==========================
We love you Lord for your love revealed.
We sing and honour You,
For no good thing from us was concealed;
You’re the One who is true.
Praise Him with time and with voice and song.
To Him our praises rise.
Lord, to be in Your presence, we long.
Praise Him in earth and skies!
