[176]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – LORD, MAY I SHARE MY THOUGHTS WITH YOU?
This poem is exactly what it says; my thoughts that I share with God. There is so much I don’t understand and too many problems to solve, but I think we are not meant to do that. We just need simple, uncluttered faith in our Lord. He will solve all those matters.
I believe life is getting harder for Christians in many nations as the increasing persecution and horrible decisions come against them, and against decency generally. In my nation, wickedness and paganism and severe anti-Semitism from the Government are progressing like a wildfire. The world starts to crumble before our eyes and it distresses me, but I know where all this stands at the end of the Church age when matters proceed from bad to worse.
I hope the poem brings out the need for a real dependence on God because we are frail and prone to make mistakes.
God knows our thoughts and motives and desires. These often don’t line up with what the Lord knows is best for us, and we must pray God overrules our desires that are not of benefit to us.
When the Assyrian army was attacking Judah and Jerusalem, both Hezekiah and Isaiah took the matter to the Lord and He gave the victory. One thing that was said at the time is this – {{Isaiah 37:28 “But I know your sitting down, and your going out and your coming in, and your raging against Me.”}} That applied to the Assyrians but the first part of the verse is profound. God knows all about us.

LORD, MAY I SHARE MY THOUGHTS WITH YOU?
God is in control of every single thing I know, and He will never let me down.
Worry is a real emotion that brings stress into our lives, and on our face a frown.
======================
Things we do and things we say, are motivated often, by our ignorance of light;
Vision often limited, discernment in retreat, and blinkered eyes we have for sight.
======================
Adam’s failure, which was sin, brought shame with increased heartache – wickedness will run its course.
Failure follows some of us in varying degrees, and brings upon us its remorse.
======================
All too painful then to handle, all too much to gather firmly under my control -
It is God who gently cares for us, so onto Him, our Carer, let our troubles roll.
======================
When absolutes are killed, uncertainty is what we face, and mankind charts stormy seas.
Man is rudderless, but the Christian has a Guide - My Lord Jesus, who holds all the keys.
======================
I need so much help to be like a lighthouse, standing firm and tall, with God, my support.
When in trouble, or needing comfort, I know this one thing - it is to God I resort.
======================
Keep me, precious Lord; hold my weary hand, until the day, I shall live with You above,
And on that day, when Your glory I shall share, I will realise more, Your unmeasured love.
