[170]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – LET OUR PRAISE TO GOD ARISE
This poem was written in two halves 25 years apart. It was originally to be a poem on praise but as I look at it, the poem is a hymn that can be sung to a number of tunes because the metre 7-6-7-6 is a common enough one.
Through this poem points for praise are mentioned. In the second half there is the thinking of our praise in heaven, when we are there.
As a poem for singing or just meditation, I hope it will mean something to you. God bless you.
{{Psalm 150:1-6 “PRAISE THE LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary. Praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds. Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with trumpet sound. Praise Him with harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing. Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe. Praise Him with loud cymbals. Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!”}}

LET OUR PRAISE TO GOD ARISE
Let our praise to God arise
From every thankful heart.
Joyful songs! Redemption’s cries!
To Christ we’ve come apart.
=================
His salvation fully free
For ev’ry trusting soul.
Dirty and unclean we be.
His blood has made us whole.
=================
Here we share united song
And sing to Christ the Lord.
All our sin and all that wrong
Pierced Him with sin’s sharp sword.
=================
Reconciled to God by love,
We raise our voices high.
Higher still will rise above,
United love’s great cry.
=================
While the Lord will give us breath,
We’ll praise His Name today.
Praise Him ‘till appointed death
That sends us on our way.
=================
O, what worship will be there
In heaven’s glory light.
In His presence we will wear
His likeness, true and bright.
=================
All eternity will ring
The Bride will shine in grace.
“Praise Him! Praise Him!” we will sing
When with Him face to face.
=================
Honour and worship the Christ,
That One you most adore.
Your redemption – highly priced!
Praise for Him, more and more.
