[153]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND KING
There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet, and the writers of the Psalms, and Jeremiah, made use of what we call “Alphabetic Poems”. That is where you begin each new paragraph with successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet. I think 4 out of the 5 chapters in Lamentations use this device.
With this poem of mine, I have not used that technique but I have used initial letters. The poem’s title is “JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND KING” but the formatting here will not show the initial letters in bold type. They spell out the title – J-E-S-U-S etc. The start of each line adds up to JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND KING.

E . . . . .
S . . . . .
U . . . . .

An interesting task is to write down all the titles of the Lord Jesus in the New Testament – Redeemer, King, Friend, Saviour, etc. and then select just two of those you think are the two most commonly used.
If I did it, I would say, LORD and KING. That became the title of the poem. It is quite precious to meditate on all the names of God. The following scriptures use the two words in this poem’s title.
{{Matthew 2:2 “Where is He who has been born KING OF THE JEWS for we saw His star in the east, and have come to worship Him?”}}
{{Matthew 27:37 “They put up above His head the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”}}
{{John 20:20 “When He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples therefore rejoiced when they saw THE LORD.”}}
{{Philippians 2:9-11 “Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, to the glory of God the Father.”}}
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND KING
Jesus Christ is Lord and king!
Everyone redeemed now sing.
Songs of triumph, all belong
Unto Him, rise from that throng,
Singing to that Christ alone.

Come you saints, come to His throne;
Hope is where our vision’s bright;
Radiance that grips our sight;
Into His eternal love.
Sit with Christ in realms above.
Tread the paths that he did tread.
== == == == == == ==
Interact with Christ as Head.
Seek the lost and greet the hurt.
== == == == == == ==
Live for Him and stay alert,
Otherwise you’ll sleep and fall.
Rise up; for Jesus stand tall.
Do His bidding. He’s your Lord.
== == == == == == ==
Alter what you can’t afford;
Nothing must deflect your sight -
Destiny moves to the Light.
== == == == == == ==
Kindness to His subjects show
In His kingdom here below.
Nothing must deter to bring
Gifts and off’rings to your King.
