[089]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – SPECIFIC – FOR THE UNSAVED - THE THREE Ts

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. That was the purpose of the First Advent called Christmas. There is no way to be saved except through repentance and placing your life in the hands of God. There are many theological terms like being born again and being redeemed and reconciled, but simply, they all mean, coming as a sinner and asking the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Saviour. He then makes you a child of God.

There are 9 poems in this Trilogy series. This poem is part of a Trilogy - three sets of three. The first set is addressed to MEN, the second to ALL CHRISTIANS and the third is SPECIFIC. This is the second one in the third set - SPECIFIC. It is addressed to the unsaved person.

ALL these poems follow the same format as they address the subject. ALL poems have 5 stanzas – Introduction; 3 stanzas for the subject; and the last stanza sums up. All poems feature three words based on a letter in the Alphabet. For this poem the letter is “T”.

When we know Jesus as Saviour, we have a great standing in God who has done great things for us and established us in the Lord Jesus Christ. This world is getting worse, and sin is becoming more wicked and people more hateful and abusive. If you don’t turn to God you will get caught up in that and end up in hell.

TURN. This is what needs to be done. Repentance means changing your direction, a 180 degree turn. Turning from the paths of evil to the Lord’s true highway.

TRUST. Trust is taking God at His word, believing what our great God has told us. All that is required is a simple trust as a child does when you pick it up and it knows it is safe.

TAKE. Take the Saviour with you. He is a faithful friend. When you become a Christian, the Lord is with you forever and walks with you all along the way.

(a). {{Acts 26:20 “but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that THEY SHOULD REPENT AND TURN TO GOD, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.”}}

(b). {{Romans 3:12 “ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE. Together they have become useless. There is none who does good. There is not even one.”}}

(c). {{Psalm 37:5 “Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in Him, and He will do it.”}}

(d). {{Acts 16:30 and after he brought them out, he said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Acts 16:31 They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved, you and your household,”}}

FOR THE UNSAVED - THE THREE Ts (SPECIFIC)

For those not saved, I give to you, three Ts to take on board.

They do determine where you stand, regarding Christ the Lord.

Correct relationship with God, is what He wants for you,

For lovingly, salvation’s way, God’s grace and mercy drew.

============================================

The first to note - a special T - is TURN to God from sin;

Acknowledge sinfulness and shame, and wickedness within.

Repentance is the means whereby direction is reversed -

Thus turning from the place of death, where sinfulness is cursed.

============================================

Salvation that’s a gift from God, results from proper TRUST.

The Lamb of God has died for you; respond to Him, you must.

Receive the Saviour and confess. Your life to Him commit,

While thanking Him for love supreme - He held not back one bit.

============================================

Then TAKE the Lord as your best Friend, each day along with you,

For faithful is His loving care; His friendship, real and true.

Unparalleled His mercy is; compassion for each day;

Into His care, commit to Him, the problems of the way.

============================================

Concern will ask, “What’s your response to unrequited love?”

Are you prepared to turn to Christ in glory now above,

And trust Him for salvation’s peace; commit to Him your all?

Then take with you His promises, while listening to His call.
