Genesis 9:1-7 Devotional
From Gen. 9:1-3 we note God blessed Noah and his sons.
What was the command? – same as for the first man and woman – populate the earth (somewhat of a new beginning)
What were given to man in v2? – man was given the responsibility to rule over all other creatures on earth
What’s interesting about v3? – man no longer had to be vegetarians
What can we note from v4-7? – man was given responsibility for everything living!!
What can we say about God from this passage? – God is in control of everything and provides but gives responsibilities to man; i.e. man is to work along with God!
What godly principles from this passage can we apply for our lives today?
• We are responsible for every living thing (people, animals, plants)! How do we handle them?
• God gave us the freedom to eat everything but how do we view food? Why eat what we eat? Do we give thanks?
