I THOUGHT HE WALKED ON WATER

Several years ago Randy Travis sang a song that Allen Shamblin had written, entitled, "He Walked On Water!" He says of this song, "I fell in love with this song when I first heard it. It reminded me so much of my grandpa. ...Let’s look at the simple words of that song:

He Walked On Water!

"He wore starched white shirts buttoned at the neck

He’d sit in the shade and watch the chickens peck

His teeth were gone but what the heck

I thought that he walked on water

Said he was a cowboy when he was young

Could handle a rope and he was good with a gun

And my momma’s daddy was his oldest son
