God's Love
Contributed by Greg Burcham on Feb 12, 2017 (message contributor)
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” 1John 3:1
With everything that has been going on in the news and the world lately, it is safe to say that most of us don’t recognize our country anymore and the world has gone completely mad.
As I was doing some Bible study this week, this verse stopped me dead in my tracks. I have always understood that the world does not recognize the Father because they don’t know the Father. In like manner, as we get closer to God, the world we live in becomes ever more unrecognizable.
With the collapse of morality in our State and Federal Governments, it becomes all the more urgent that we honor the task that Jesus has set before us. He came to “seek and to save that which was lost,” in His name, can we do any less.
Pray for our Elected Representatives; pray that they listen to the voice of God rather than the voice of man. And finally, get involved, make your voice heard and stand fast in the Word of Truth that God has given us.
