Giving Tithes And Offering To Your Local Church
Contributed by Rev. Vinod Rasaily on Oct 19, 2016 (message contributor)
Believers must understand that Church is the backbone of mission and therefore must be faithful in bringing their tithes and offering to their local Church. Some Church goers who live outside of their home town would not commit themselves to support the Church which they are attending, instead they love to store their tithes and send it back to their home Church. This is not being responsible as a believer. A Church is a Church, whether out-station or in-station; She is the body of Christ and must be supported by those who come and are receiving spiritual nurture - spiritual food and care.
After eating in a restaurant, where does one go and pay the bill? In their hometown? :) It is logical, they pay in the place where they eat. Even so, one has the spiritual obligation to nurture and support the Church where they are spiritually fed.
