Nuestro trabajo en el Señor no es en vano
Una vez predicando en una iglesia en la selva del Peten, en Guatemala, fui invitado por un pastor a que fuera a su iglesia, al cual yo accedí sin ninguna objeción. Pero al predicar me sentía muy incomodo por la forma que recibían el mensaje, no había un gesto, un amen, o algo que glorificara a Dios, por la palabra que recibían. Mas bien, se miraban unos a los otros desorientado…!y como fuera de lugar!, cosa que me tenia frustrado en medio del mensaje. Determiné hacer un alto al mensaje y hacer un llamado al altar.
Pero la cosa se me puso más difícil cuando vi que nadie se movía de su asiento y más bien algunos se movían hacia la puerta para irse. Miré hacia el pastor preocupado y sonriente le pregunte… ¿que era lo que pasaba? El también un poco apenado y con una sonrisa entre labios, me dio gracia por la palabra, porque le había ministrado grandemente. Pero me explicó que su congregación era de indígenas que solamente entendían el Quiché (Su idioma nativo). Por esa razón, es que toda la noche no entendieron ni una sola palabra en español y el único que me dio gracias por la palabra recibida, fue el único que fue ministrado…el Pastor.
De ahí en adelante, el pastor se puso a mi lado para traducirnos y todos fueron ministrados por el poder de Dios, derramando sus lágrimas y sus corazones delante de la presencia.
