There Is Another Dna Project Out There. It Is ...
Contributed by Jay Winters on Apr 2, 2009 (message contributor)
There is another DNA project out there. It is called the International HapMap Project. The goal of the international HapMap Project is similar to 23 and Me, but instead of telling you who you are it seeks to go back into your history way back. You see the HapMap project is trying to isolate mutations in the human genome. Its trying to isolate mutations that happened in human DNA that seem to correlate with disease like cancer and AIDS. The hope is that they can trace the mutation back to its core, and if they can do that they can develop a cure that will make it as if the mutation never happened.
In a strange way, that is exactly what the Lamb of God is all about in our lives. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, came into our lives in order to trace the mutation of sin all the way back to its core.
