That great truth inspired Count Zinzendorf to write the following lines in the glorious hymn “Jesus, Thy Blood and Righteousness,” translated by John Wesley:
Bold I shall stand in that great day,
For who ought to my charge shall lay?
Fully absolved through Thee I am
From sin and fear, from guilt and shame.
