Worship Participation Certain Protestant ...
Contributed by Sermon Central on Feb 20, 2007 (message contributor)
Worship Participation Certain Protestant denominations are much more effective than others in generating their adherents worship participation. Mainline attendance trails conservative and evangelical denominations. High interest and participation can be signs of engaged parishioners who are less likely to out-migrate, and suggest that the religious group is more attractive to outsiders considering a change in religious preference. Church attendance is strongly related to certain demographic characteristics. Older Americans are much more likely than those younger to attend; women are more likely than men; Americans in the South and Midwest are more likely than those in the East or the West; and blacks are much more likely to attend than whites.
