When a person is arrested for some misdemeanor, they have the chance to "make bail," to get out of jail until their case is decided. Usually the bail bond is something like 10% of the total bail. The total has to be posted, but it works like a loan. If the miscreatant cannot get 10% together, then the bail bond is denied and the person sits in jail. What if God only required us to come up with 10% of our sin debt? Could you pay that much? Or would you remain where you really belong?
