I have been told that in the jungles of South America, that monkey trappers use jars with narrow mouths, hung in trees by wire, to trap their prey. They hang the jars on the branches, and place rocks inside. As the monkeys travel through the trees, the branches rattle the stones in the jars. The monkey’s curiosity gets the better of them, and they reach into the jar to retrieve their treasure. The problem is that they cannot pull their hand back through the opening of the jar as long as they hold onto the rocks. The hunters, knowing this, come out from hiding and the monkey will lose its life for a handful of rocks. Satan is the same way; he knows how to trap us with teh treasures of this world - worthless treasures. He knows we too have a difficult time letting go.
