Faith Based Initiatives: In an effort to jump-start his Faith-Based Initiatives, President Bush created the $30M Compassion Capital Fund available for faith organizations committed to addressing social issues in our country. This amount could grow to $100M next year. Now, more than ever, Faith-based organizations need to learn how to apply for and receive federal assistance. The Maclellan Foundation is partnering with the Institute for Youth Development to conduct seminars that teach organizations these skills sets. For more see www.youthdevelopment.org.
