When I Was Young Boy, My Brother Planted Brussels ... PRO

When I was young boy, my brother planted brussels sprouts in his garden. We lived in a climate where the Brussels sprouts did not grow and so they just came up and never produced fruit. However a big leafy weed grew in the midst of the sickly Brussel sprouts row. Since the Brussel Sprouts row was languishing he let the weed grow just to say he grew something. It agravated my father terribly. Many times he told my brother to pull the weed. At the end of the growing season my brother pulled the weed and to his suprise he had not grown a Brussel Sprout, but rather a Gigantic Turnip.
This story is much like the CHristian life. In our Brussels Sprouts row of life, there are weeds. We don’t know why they are there or when they got there, but they are there and they way heavily upon us. However God knows all of the weeds in our lives. There is never a weed in our lives that he does not know about and he is waiting for just the right moment to pull the weed and show us...
