[336]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM - WHAT MY SAVIOUR’S DONE (Version 1)
This short poem is constructed on the first word in each line rhyming. Not only that but the end of each line has an AABB etc. rhyme.
The title is simple. {{Mark 5:19-20 and He did not let him, but He said to him, “Go home to your people and report to them WHAT GREAT THINGS THE LORD HAS DONE FOR YOU and how He had mercy on you,” and he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis WHAT GREAT THINGS JESUS HAD DONE FOR HIM and everyone marvelled.}}
In the Mark verses above, we read of the great things the Lord has done and that is what the poem is about.
Have you ever bothered to list down what the Lord has done for you? It can be an interesting exercise.
This poem has two versions. The second one will follow after this one and can be sung.

WHAT MY SAVIOUR’S DONE (Version 1)
Bought me with His precious blood He shed at Calvary.
Brought me with a tender love into His liberty.
Caught me in my wayward life and turned my course around.
Fought for me the battle great to gain redemption’s ground.
Nought He left on my account to rise up and accuse.
Ought not I then thankful be and all His ways I’ll choose.
Sought for me the very best His love could then bestow.
Taught me of the Father’s grace where mercy did o’erflow.
Wrought for me acceptance sure and sealed me in the Bride.
All these blessings then confirm that God is on our side.

It’s poor etiquette to attend a party and don’t bring the host/honoree a gift. We should feel privileged to receive an invitation to attend. Therefore, it’s extremely important that we bring the right gifts to the honoree.
