[186]. A MESSAGE FROM A POEM – MUSINGS ON BEING IN HEAVEN
This is a lovely poem FOR ME, which is why I wrote it. How much do we think of heaven? I am afraid some are so earth-bound that they give little thought to heaven.
Do we know what heaven will be like? Of course we do not. We can only imagine. My poem is not trying to investigate what heaven is like with gold and “mansions” (wrongly from the KJV – John 14:2 is “dwelling places”) and all that stuff. Some people are far too materialistic and even apply that to heaven. I am confining it mainly to the Lord Jesus Christ for He is the centre of heaven’s worship NOT ME! OR what I get!
Some certainties about heaven are these –
Jesus is the centre
All the redeemed are there
There are many angels
All is pure and holy (gone will be our sin and imperfection)
Joy reigns supreme
This poem is written in a special way. You will notice that in the rhyme scheme. Every second line has an internal rhyme:-
“Our salvation will REST, as those who are BLESSED”
Then every alternate line in the stanza rhymes – (stanza 3) – “know, bestow, flow”.
My desire is that this poem will be an encouragement and comfort for you.
{{1 Corinthians 2:9 but just as it is written, “Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.”}}
{{2 Corinthians 12:2-4 “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know - God knows - such a man was caught up to the third heaven, and I know how such a man - whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know - God knows - was caught up into Paradise, and HEARD INEXPRESSIBLE WORDS, WHICH A MAN IS NOT PERMITTED TO SPEAK.”}}

MUSINGS ON BEING IN HEAVEN
With our dear Lord above, and lost in His love,
We’ll appreciate more what He has done.
When Jesus looks at you, then more you’ll construe
What the Lord’s death at Golgotha has won.
All heaven will adore; we’ll love Him the more,
And worship at His feet, Jesus the Son.
=============================
Angels in their brightness; saints in their whiteness,
Reflect the essence of Christ’s purity.
We’ll rejoice in our birth, redeemed from the earth,
And fashioned by grace for eternity.
Our salvation will rest, as those who are blessed -
Those lambs of the Lord, in security.
=============================
What has been prepared there, so wondrous and fair,
No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor hearts know,
But when heaven’s realised, where our Christ is prized,
Then God’s glories upon us, He’ll bestow.
Praise and glory we’ll sing, unto Christ the King.
To the Lamb of God, let majesty flow!
=============================
I love You, my dear Lord, who’s greatly adored.
I was a sinner lost and gone astray.
Jesus searched through the night; knew my sad plight.
He brought me into His pure, bright day.
Lord Jesus, I thank You; no One is so true.
Love for you is all I have, to repay.

Doors: Open Or Closed

The majority of the body of Christ believes that God opens doors (a "yes" answer to prayer) and closes doors (a "no" answer to prayer) in their lives. Does scripture support such a belief?

"'the' Birthday Celebration

It’s poor etiquette to attend a party and don’t bring the host/honoree a gift. We should feel privileged to receive an invitation to attend. Therefore, it’s extremely important that we bring the right gifts to the honoree.
