Imagine a light bulb illuminating a dark room. When you first turn on that light, it overwhelms the darkness and reveals details that were previously hidden. In many ways, this is akin to how the glory of God transformed Moses.

Now, consider a moment when you’ve been outdoors on a sunny day, perhaps you stepped into a swimming pool. As you emerged, the sunlight caught the droplets of water on your skin, reflecting brightness that radiates outward. That’s similar to how Moses' encounter with God illuminated his face. Just as the sun causes those droplets to shimmer, so too does the presence of God cause our lives to shine with His glory.

However, what happens when you move back into a shaded area? The reflection fades. Just as Moses had to put a veil over his face, we may also experience moments where the trials and distractions of life dim our shining.

But, when we come before God again—like Moses entering the tent of meeting—He restores that light. Our spiritual journeys are akin to these cycles of light and shade, reflecting our need for continual communion with God to maintain that spiritual radiance and share it with others.
