Farmer Jones lived in the countryside alone except for his old dog that he had by his side for years.

But, unfortunately, his pet died and Farmer Jones went in town to see his pastor about his loss. “Pastor, my dog is dead," he said. "Could you possibly do a funeral service for this old friend of mine. He was the best friend I ever had in this world.”

The pastor told the farmer "No, sir, we don't do funeral services for an animal in our church, but I'll tell you what, there's a new denomination down the road a piece, and there's no telling what they believe in, but maybe they'll do something special for the animal."

Farmer Jones said, “Okay, Pastor. Thanks for your time. I’ll go right away to that new church. And, oh, by the way, do you think $10,000 is enough to pay for a good funeral service for my dog?"

The pastor quickly replied, “Now, wait a second, Farmer Jones, you didn’t you tell me that your dog was Pentecostal!”
