Your Mother Is A Real Diva
Contributed by Wayne Solomon on May 8, 2021 (message contributor)
Your mother is a real Diva.
In the kitchen she is no Betty Crocker or Aunt Jemima
But she is your mother
And she’s a real Diva.
Just remember Rachel Ray still can't make chitlins.
And Emeril can't make collard greens.
But your mother can, she's a real Diva.
She can take you to the clearance rack
And buy something for $5.
Stay up all night and fix it,
So, when you step out it looks like $500.
She's no Martha Stewart, she's your mother
She's a real Diva.
So, she gained a few pounds from having you,
And she's no runway model on 5th Avenue.
She may not look like Danielle, Aya or Tyra.
But she's a real Diva, she's your mother.
When that boy breaks your heart,
When that girl kicks you to the curb,
When your best friend turns against you,
And you feel you need therapy.
She may have no college degree,
High school diploma or even GE D.
She is no doctor Phil.
But she can give you better advice than Oprah.
Because she is your mother,
She's a real Diva.
When you were sick all night
And you coughed your head off,
Puked your guts out,
And cried your eyes out.
She sat up with you, rocked you in her arms,
Warmed you with her body,
Rubbed you with her hands,
Cleaned every disgusting thing that came out of you,
That's what I call a real diva now,
She's your mother, she's a, she's a real Diva.
Happy Mother’s Day

Diva comes from the word Divine.
