God Is Missing!!!
Contributed by Dr. Larry Petton on Jan 15, 2020 (message contributor)
Two young boys in a Christian school had been continually mis-behaving and were sent to the principal’s office on several occasions. The principal knew what they really needed was to have God in their lives, so she brought the first boy in and set him down. “I want to ask you a question. Where is God?” The young boy was scared to death by the question. He didn’t know how to answer. He just sat there. She asked him 3 or 4 times, “Where is God?” Still, the young boy didn’t answer. She told him that she wanted him to think about that question. So she sent him out of her office.
As the confused kid was leaving the office, the second boy, whose turn it was to see the principal, asked his friend, “What in the world was going on in there?” The first boy said just shook his head and said, “I don’t know, man, but somehow, some way, GOD IS MISSING...…...and they’re trying to pin it on us!”
How often do we confuse what God is trying to tell us because we are carrying so much guilt and unconfessed sin? Listen carefully. Be still and know that He is God and He loves you (Psalm 46:10). Jesus said, "Come unto Me, all you who labor, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).
