Main Idea: God is perfect and He cannot tolerate any sin in His presence.

Verse: “As for God, His way is perfect” (Psalms 18:30 NKJV).

Illustration: Once there was a famous conductor who was asked to direct a world class orchestra. He chose a famous piece of music and the orchestra gathered together to learn the piece. Every day for hours, the orchestra practiced. But, there was a problem. One of the violin players did not know how to play her instrument. Her violin was out of tune and she kept making the instrument screech. So, what did the conductor do? He kicked her out of the orchestra because one bad violin player would mess up the entire concert. The same way the conductor could not tolerate a bad violin player, God cannot tolerate a sinful person to be in His presence. God is perfect and He wants His children to be perfect too. We are out of tune with our Creator. He is completely righteous, but we are unrighteous. He is sinless, but we are full of sin. God is in perfect harmony with Himself and He cannot exist with sin. The good news is that through Jesus, we can become perfect.
