2. What is The Harvest You Are Waiting For?
Why do Christians celebrate Harvest? The simple answer is, it is an opportunity for us to thank God for everything He has blessed us with.
We have seed time where we plant the seed. Great care is taken to plant the seed (the word) into the world which is the field. The soil is tilled up. 8. The Time For Harvest Is Now
Never before has the Church had such a vast opportunity to have revival and reap spiritual harvest as we do "NOW!" We know what to do... but we simply need motivation.
Missions is the nearest and dearest thing to the heart of God. In this passage Christ shares His burden with His Disciples.
Jesus knew that because they were without God and they were therefore without hope. Do we see people like that? Do we feel compassion for them? That is our need, to feel compassion because of their need. Jesus saw the multitude and was moved with compassion for them. May we do likewise.
In the account of the woman at the well in John 4, we will see that she serves as a good example, to all who truly desire to be a Harvester for God.
