  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I don’t claim to be a great preacher. You can tell by my outlines I use a lot of different material. I do not cmae any originality, but I do claim to preach a great message about a great God And a great Savior. Use the outlines. Make any changes you fell lead of God to make. My prayer is some one’s life will be touched by God’s Words not mine.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: My former pastor preached a series of messages several years ago, on soul-winning. My desire is to see folks from all walks of life, especially young people come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: A baseball in my hands is worth about $3, the cost of the ball. In the hands of Nolan Ryan its worth about $300. A golf club in the hands of Tiger Woords can be worth thousands; in my hands, not much. In the hands of a normal man a stick is a good device to beat off dogs. In the hands of a man of faith it can part a great sea. A fish and a loaf of bread in the hands of a normal man would make a good fish sandwich, but in the hands of the Lord Jesus, it can feed thousands. Whatever the problem, whatever the situation... in your hands it can be a mess... in the hands of Jesus it can be a miracle...
  • Family: Married in 1983 to my wonderful wife Teena. Two great kids Ryan & Lindsey. Grandson-Judson Granddaughter-CharleyMae
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My father passed away when I was 10; my mother thinks I am the best preacher in the world... I don’t tell her any different
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is my greatest source of encouragement
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach the Word...Never stray off the Word...Always give those receiving the Word an opportunity to respond to the message and God’s calling.
  • Books that have had an impact: Probably one of my favorite all time books is "Pilgrims Progress". I also like to read anything by Dr Charles Stanley & Chuck Swindol.
  • Hobbies: Golf & baseball... especially baseball.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: What I often say; it would be evangelistic... If you don’t know Jesus, if you have never trusted Him as Lord & Savior of your life... Do It Today...
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I recently held a funeral service where one of the family members brought an injuried baby squirrel into the chapel during the service. The squirrel made aweful noises throughout the service...wasn’t funny at the time
  • What I want on my tombstone: Pro 11:30;
