  • Experience: Steve served as production manager, studio engineer, and an announcer at LifeTalk Radio KSVA in Albuquerque (www.lifetalk.net). At that same time he was involved in a church plant in Edgewood, NM, among other things, leading out in children’s ministry. After graduation from evangelism school he served on the ministry staff at Wichita Seventh-day Adventist Church in KS before being called to his first pastoral position in the Sandhills area SDA churches. After 4 1/2 years He moved to his current pastorate in Southeastern Nebraska. Steve has been involved in Children’s throughout the USA.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I tend to use a lot of illustrations that are not in my outline. These might be stories or object lessons or they may be visual aids. To get the full idea of the sermon I recommend that you go to the sermon’s page at sermons.frogspot.com and listen to the sermon in Real Audio. This will not show you the visual aids (I can’t do that with audio) but it will give you the rest.
  • Family: Steve was married to the former Heather Hardy of Westminster, MD on September 25, 2005. They enjoy ministering together in Southeastern of Nebraska.
  • Hobbies: Children’s Ministry including: Story telling, singing, song writing, ventriloquism, counseling, Bible studies and just plain knowing the kids. Other hubbies: Horse Back riding (I rarely get to do this), Web editing (sermons.frogspot.com - frogSpot.com - MentoringMoments.frogspot.com), meeting people.
  • What I want on my tombstone: I don’t care but I do want to preach my own funeral sermon (pre-recorded of course)

This sermon explores the need to follow God’s lead and not worry about what others think. I do this through the lense of Simon Peter. It also encoureges people to share their faith in a simple manner in their everyday life.

Simon Peter poked the last bite of fish into his mouth; these were miracle fish, provided by the Master Himself. His mind seemed to whirling trying to process the events of the past couple of weeks. It started with the triumphal entry. Peter had thrilled that everyone seemed to be ready to finally ...read more
