About Stan
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts, Howard Payne University Master of Divinity, Southwestern Seminary (78 hours)
  • Experience: 18 years Student Ministry 13 years Founding & Lead Pastor
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Any manuscript you read of mine is not usually the way it is ever preached. I add, take away, tweak, follow a leading, whatever. It also lacks the passion...and intensity!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: PainKillers Seven Ways Weird families Work Category Five X Factor
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Hmmmmm.
  • Family: Wife and three daughters
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Well, Dad is in heaven thanking me for sending more people there. Mom likes what she here’s although it’s not like her traditional preacher.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I am a good communicator and most often hit the mark. She is also my best critic.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Make your main points practical application
  • Books that have had an impact: Spiritual Leadership by Oswald sanders The Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren GraceWalk by Steve McVey
  • Hobbies: Golf, Fishing both fresh and saltwater
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Stop trying to live for Jesus. Let Him live through YOU!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I was asking the question, "What is it going to take for God to get your attention?" Just then, unrehearsed, all of the lights in the theater went off and sirens blared. We laughed about it, but a lot of people paid attention after the lights came back on.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He increased the size of heaven, one life at a time!

A sermon that launched an eight-part series on Grace. It paints the Big Picture and helps people view grace in a new way. After all, what you see is what you usually get!

The Eyes of Grace Thank you, thank you very much. Today I want to make a case. . . for 360 degree grace. What if you lived your life, what if I lived my life… with 360 degree grace, would it make any difference? What do you mean, Stan, by 360 degree grace? I am so glad you asked. By 360 ...read more

Listen to this from R.C. Sproul: “Perhaps the most difficult task for us to perform is to rely on God’s grace and God’s grace alone for our salvation. It is difficult for our pride to rest on grace. Grace is for other people—for beggars. We don’t want to live by a heavenly welfare system. We ...read more
