About Sherry
  • Education: Started at Believer’s School of Ministry in NY and am finishing online.
  • Experience: My husband and I have been on the field for two years. Before coming we held Bible studies weekly in a youth maximum secure facility for over 3 years along with weekly Ladies and Men’s Bible studies. I have been involved with drama, writing biblical studies to Africa and speaking at retreats and conferences. I am currently writing a Discipleship series.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My prayer is that you will be motivated, encouraged, and enlightened. There’s no better place to be than in the center of God’s will!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Psalm 1 by Chuck Swindoll, God’s Will for You by James McDonald
  • One of my favorite illustrations: A little girl was awakened by a loud thunderstorm and cried out. Her mother came in and held her tight, all the while telling her it was alright, it was only a storm and she was safe. As she stroked the little girls head, she softly told her that Jesus was with her, that He never leaves her and she didn’t need to fear. The little girl looked up with wide eyes and said, "I know Mommy, but, sometimes I just want Jesus with skin on."
  • Family: 2 wonderful children and grandson
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My Dad tells me I’m doing a great work. (My Mom, if still living would agree)
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: He’s behind me all the way.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Give it the best you’ve got...you only have one chance.
  • Books that have had an impact: Secrets of the Vine, Six Pillars From Ephesians, Living Above the Level of Mediocrity
  • Hobbies: Horseback riding, hiking,biking
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Abundant Grace...abundant faithfulness...abundant forgiveness!
