  • One of my favorite illustrations: When two boys attacked one of my sons, and I was well known in the small town. How I wanted to lay hands on them but restrained.
  • Family: Married for 31 years and we have 4 boys. First grandchild expected in March!

  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: It depends on the illustration I use but she approves.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach the Word, Study to show yourself approved.

  • Hobbies: Weight lifting, reading, fishing
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus will always love you even when you fail.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: A little boy came to the altar while I was preaching to roll his toy car down the altar. I had to call on his grandmother to come get him.
  • What I want on my tombstone: A true Shepherd
