About Robert
  • Education: I am currently at, and about ready to graduate from Cincinnati Bible College (Cincinnati Christian University) with a BA in Preaching Ministry.
  • Experience: Chapel Service at Cincinnati Christian University Preaching @ Plainfield Christian Church (PCC) Chapel Service Teaching at PCC Wednesday night bible study. Preaching at Patriot Ridge Nursing Home in Fairborn Ohio Preaching and Teaching at First Church of Christ in Fairborn Ohio Preaching with Christian Rock Band, Extremity.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Hope they are helpful...
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: If Corinthinas says that God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, the things which are not to shame the things that are, the weak things to shame the strong...That means that we are christians not because we were strong, or noble, or great; rather because we were poor, dumb, and counted as nothing. If this is how we are called as christians imagine the implications to the preacher. I was not chosen to preach because i was intelligent or good at public speaking. I was chosen because I was dumb enough, because I was soo terrified to stand before men and talk that any good that happened from the pulpit was from God. There is no room for pride in the pulpit. Remember God chose you because you were weak and dumb enough he would be glorified.
  • Books that have had an impact: Revelation’s Rhapsody by Robert Lowery Anchor Bible Commentary: Jeremiah by John Bright Wild At Heart by John Eldredge,
  • Hobbies: Whittling, Painting, Playing Guitar, Reading, Nature, Working with my hands, Watching Movies, Long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, hanging out.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I once had a woman take her pants off while I was preaching. That was ackward. When it happens at a rock concert, you know it has been a good rock concert. I don’t know what to think about when it happens while preaching. (This happened at a nursing home, and was awkward. Very awkward)
  • What I want on my tombstone: Woops...

This sermon is about how we do not need to fear death. We can gain hope from Christ because he is eternal, and he has promised that we will be made to overcome death as he has. It still needs a little work, but i am a fan of the main idea of it.
