About Rob
  • Education: Self educated in theological studies and church history.
  • Experience: Rob has been pastor of Eastgate Christian Fellowship for 15 years. I love to teach and be part of people's lives, but I'm really a cartoonist and a pastor by accident. I drew a comic strip for Group Magazine (youth pastor's magazine) for 11 years, and currently draw a web-comic called Rabbi Encounters (www.rabbiencounters.com).
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Sorry.
  • Family: Rob is Married to his wife of 27 years, Robbie; has four children (all grown) and two cats (who make him sneeze).
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Don’t preach...talk. Never say "you", always say "we". Advice given me by my father, Lon Woodrum, who was an evangelist/pastor for over 70 years before passing away in 1995.
  • Books that have had an impact: A Knowledge of the Holy, A.W. Tozer The Ragamuffin Gospel, Brennan Manning Eat This Book, Eugene Peterson
  • Hobbies: Surfing, Comic books, comic book art, traditional painting, digital graphics
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: People actually listened.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He loved with all his heart
