While we may not be facing a ferocious lion anytime soon, we do face a metaphorical lion most days of our lives. There are three lion-slayers mentioned in the Bible. They are Samson, David, and Benaiah.

This was bad enough, but the situation was about to get even worse. When you think things can't get any worse, sometimes they do. Devoted to the Lord—then tragedy strikes, and just as you're trying to deal with that tragedy, something else comes along and hits you even harder.

When Jesus comes back, he will go to the place prepared by God, and the Jews will know that he is their messiah, he is the Christ. When they see him, this is the question they will ask, “What are these wounds?”
