About Neil
  • Education: Eph.3:7 "Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power."
  • Experience: I have been heavily involved in serving the church since childhood, with no time off to sow wild oats. God called me into full time ministry in 1994. Originally the calling was to an "on the road" music ministry, ministering to families through song and drama. Then God suprised me with the calling to plant a church. But the years of experience I had already achieved serving in every position of the church but pastorate, helped me obey, in faith, knowing God would equip the called.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Please let me know if my sermons were of any help to you and your ministry. What a blessing it would be to know if God is aboe to use me even outside our small community.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: I have included two of my favorite sermon series, One, entitled "Rip Tide" is about the affect sin has on our lives. Which was especially helpful to our unchurched crowd. The other, "Learn to Drive" is series of messages comparing our spiritual lives to our automobiles. It was a series that everyone could relate to, and would be reminded of a spiritual principle every time they got in their car! We even gave out keychains with the church logo on it to jump start the series!
  • Family: I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years. We have two grown children,a 21 year old daughter, a 19 year old son, and more recently have become the proud grandparents of a very sweet-dispositioned grandson who our church has adopted as their own!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I am in the "fortunate" situation of having a wife with the spiritual gift of prophecy. Sin and Wrong Flash like strobe lights in front of her eyes. So she is actually a big contributor and a temperature gauage as to what the congregation’s needs are when it comes to subject matter and sermon series ideas. We work together as a team. Though we both respect the fact that I am the one with the calling and the God-given, pastoral responsibilities.
  • Books that have had an impact: Rick Warrens, Purpose Driven Church
  • Hobbies: Music is still one of my passions. I enjoy all realms os music which helps in reaching the younger generation. I find I can connect with them by being familiar with the current music trends. A side hobbie of mine some may find a little strange, I love to move dirt with machines. However this is very beneficial right now as I am currently bi-vocational while this baby church learns to stand on it’s own!
