About michael
  • Education: Michael A. Jones received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mercer University before earning his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. He later completed post-graduate legal studies through The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School as part of his military legal education. In addition to his legal training, Michael pursued theological studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, including coursework in biblical Greek and Hebrew. He also did some graduate business studies through Harvard University. Michael has also pursued extensive language studies in Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, and Russian, reflecting a longstanding interest in culture, communication, and biblical teaching across diverse communities.
  • Experience: Michael A. Jones has been involved in ministry with churches of Christ since the late 1980s. During the early 1990s, he participated in foreign mission work in the former Soviet Union during a time of significant political and spiritual transition in Eastern Europe. Michael later worked with the Lawrenceville Church of Christ in metro Atlanta before relocating to Southern California in the late 1990s to work with the OrangeView Church of Christ, where he continues to serve in a bi-vocational ministry role involving preaching, teaching, evangelism, and discipleship. Alongside his ministry work, Michael serves professionally as a senior attorney with the United States Department of Justice in Los Angeles. He also serves as a reserve component Judge Advocate in the United States Army, holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serving as Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for an Army division in California. Through multiple military deployments and overseas assignments, Michael has had opportunities to engage in evangelistic outreach and ministry efforts throughout Eastern Europe, Korea, Italy, and the Middle East. His ministry focuses on spiritual transformation, biblical teaching, evangelism, and helping believers become more like Christ in everyday life.
