About Michael
  • Education: I am only 16 years old, but have felt the calling of God to speak the gospel and live my life for Christ even in my High School. I am currently in the 10th grade.
  • Experience: My first speaking appearance was almost a year ago now when my youth pastor heard that I had a lesson I could teach. That night I shared what God laid on my heart to say about the difference between Godly fear and Earthly fear. Ever since I have spoken in front of our congregation and youth group many times and continue to do so. I look forward to where God is leading me, all I can do is simply follow Him.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Look at them not as words of my own, but as words of God. I want no glory from these sermons, if you like them ask God to continue to speak through me, and I am sure He will provide as He has always.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: When I attended Student Life Camp at Covenant College in Lookout Mtn. TN, my life was changed forever. With the message based around the passage in John 8:23 that says we, as Christians, through Jesus, are not of this world since we have Jesus in our heart. My life was changed forever after this camp. I will never look back.
  • Family: I live with my Mother, father and 2 brothers in my house in Mount Juliet. I have lived in Mt. Juliet for all of my life and am the oldest of three children.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents are a great encouragement to me in prayer and in teaching me everyday through their Christ-like examples. I thank them for staying close to the Lord and setting the right example for me.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I do not have a spouse as of yet, I think I might want to wait a decade or two.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Keep two notebooks, one for the lessons, and one for keeping up with when you did the lessons and when you need to do the lessons.
  • Books that have had an impact: Loving God: Charles Colson Breaking Free: Beth Moore My Utmost for His Highest: Oswald Chambers The Holy Bible: God
  • Hobbies: I love to sing, play music, and speak. I am in my High School band where I have played the Trombone for 4 years. I am also envolved in my church praise orchestra. I love more than anything to share the truth of the gospel. I love to watch God work in people’s life. I love to tell the story of Jesus and watch people’s eyes light up as they realize that there is more to life than everyday life. I love to attend church and sing praises to God as often as I can.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • What I want on my tombstone: I want the biggest cross in the world on top of my tombstone with Jesus written across the arms.

It is never to late to come back to God. This sermon uses Luke 15:11-31 to tell the story of the prodigal son and his return home. It also presents the gospel at the end.

Come Home Again By: God (Spoken by: Michael Flowers) - I really want a million dollars. - I can only think of all the things that I would do with all of that money. - I would buy a car, a house, and probably a few stores full of things too, while I was at it. - Everyday I wait for the ...read more
