About Michael
  • Education: In 1985 I graduated from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri, with my Masters of Divinity.
  • Experience: I am the founding pastor of the Solid ROCK. We began holding services in May 2004. Prior to that I have held multiple ministerial positions within the Church of the Nazarene
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Most of my sermons are preached without a manuscript in front of me. I try to prepare each sermon as a manuscript and then internalize it.
  • Family: I have been married for 26 years to Lorraine who complements my spiritual gifts wonderfully. We have 2 children. Kevin is very involved as our Website designer and a part of our worship team, and Christina helps lead our children’s ministry
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "Don’t sell the story, tell it"
  • Books that have had an impact: Becoming a Healthy Church, Stephen A. Macchia Surprising Insights from the Unchurched, Thom S. Rainer Preaching that Changes Lifes, Michael Fabarez The Call, Os Guiness
  • Hobbies: Reading and exercise
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: there is a need to pursue God with a passion in order to be an effective witness
  • What I want on my tombstone: A servant of Jesus Christ
