About Michael
  • Education: Graduated from Practical Bible College in 1990.
  • Experience: I have been serving at North Country Fellowship since graduation from PBC. The first 5 years as a Youth Pastor, 1 year as an Interim and I have been the Senior Pastor ever since!
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Theses are real-life sermons designed to reach both church people and unsaved people. The goal is to present the Word of God so that lives can be changed. They are application oriented and most of them are topical (beacuse that is how people think).
  • Family: Married in May of 1989 to my lovely and wonderfuil wife Laura. We have two awesome boys, Conner & Tyler.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are members of the church and love them!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I am the best preacher she has ever heard... except when I use her in the sermon too much! ;-)
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Be yourself! Don’t try to be onyone else.
  • Books that have had an impact: Purpose Driven Church Becoming A Contagious Christian Failing Forward Freah Wind, Fresh Fire An Unstoppable Force Experiencing God
  • Hobbies: Soccer, golf, computers.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: As a youth pastor I was preaching one Sunday and made the statement, "Of course, when I was a kid I never did anyting wrong!" And at that exact moment, the light went out (and no one was near the switch!) So, we I came back with, "OK, So maybe I messed up a little bit." - the lights flickered! So I said, "OK! OK! I did a LOT of bad things!" And the lights came back on and stayed on! HONEST!
