• Best advice given to me about preaching: Lessons I’ve learned as a preacher for 19 years (in no particular order): 1.) Never enter the pulpit angry or blow your stack during a sermon. “The fruit of the Spirit is self-control” 2.) Remember, when attacked or criticized right before a service from whom that criticism really comes. Never counter attack. I’ve never lost my temper & later felt good about it. 3.) If it FEELS really good to say, you probably shouldn’t say it. 4.) You are never as good as people say that you are. “Nice
