About Maurice
  • Education: British Bible School, Corby, England
  • Experience: Preaching since 1981. Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Lexington, Va. Sudbury, Ontario and presently Rockford, Illinois
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Use them as a springboard to further personal study.
  • Family: Wife Tami, author of two great books. Three boys, Stephen, Andrew and Timothy.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She always has a good word to say, even when most people don’t!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Keep it short (about 30-40 minutes),scriptural, sincere and simple!
  • Books that have had an impact: The Song of a Passionate Heart by David Roper.
  • Hobbies: soccer, health products, and good books.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Obey the Gospel of Christ! Don’t join the Church of YOUR choice, but be added to the Church of Christ’s choice (Rom.16:16; Acts 2:47).
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Never take Niacin just before preaching. Your face will "beam" like a lantern, as mine once did. I must have looked like Moses when he came down the mountain after receiving the ten commandments.
  • What I want on my tombstone: A man from N.Ireland who loved the Lord and His Church
