About Leonard
  • Experience: A high level knowledge God’s Word. Well trained and experienced preacher. Can effectively communicate God’s Word in an easy understandable manner. Create and executed consistent and effective one on one/group discipleship program that has yield positive results.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My Personal Life Mission: To cultivate and promote the Word of God in all believers. To build and promote His Kingdom, and develop mature ministering believers by mentoring, teaching, and love, as God’s enable me in holy accountable and incarnational relationships.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: All of them
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She loves them!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "I do not believe there are any new objections to be discovered to the truth of Christianity. Men may argue ingeniously against our faith, but what can they say in defense of their own?" (The author of our national anthem, Frances Scott Key). Therefore, “So be strong, show yourself a man, 3 and observe what the LORD your God requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements. . .” (1 Kings 2:2-3a)
  • Books that have had an impact: God's Word
  • Hobbies: I married my best friend and love being with my family. I love to study the Bible, preach, teach others how to study the Bible for themselves! I love to write commentaries and sermons. I have suffered a serious back injury and am now disabled but not out of commission. I also do some video editing as a hobby. I do not make shallow relationships and I am not a drama kind of person, although I have been known to be sarcastic and I tend to use puns a lot more then my family prefer.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: When you study the Bible its not long before the Bible starts studying you! "18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. (Psalm 119:18)
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I farted
  • What I want on my tombstone: Leonard Cook: A Man of the Spirit, A Man of the Word, A Man of God
