  • Experience: I have been some sort of ministry for 37 years. I have been Senior Pastor for 7 years at Morven UMC Charge. I have worked in the Southern Gospel Music Industry for 12 years.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I write from my heart and I do not mince words when it comes to salvation and caring for the lost.

  • Family: Married, 4 children, 15 grandchildren
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They were happy with them, they were challenged.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Some she likes, some she feels are "stinkers".
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "Do not make your sermons longer than someone's behind can suffer to sit on a hard pew."
  • Books that have had an impact: "Six Hours One Friday"
  • Hobbies: reading, professional student, hunting, fishing, trapping, farming, horses, Canines, Felines, boxing and martial arts, Shooting sports, spending quality time with my 15 grandchildren and 3 surviving children
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus paid the sin debt price for you, will you give your all to him?
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: A little boy, 4 years old, bot to missing. The family was frantically searching for him under the pews. We were beginning the call to prayer and I saw a little head wiggle out from under the front pew. He placed his hands under his chin, rested his elbows on the floor and looked up smiling all the while the family was still searching for him. He grinned and I CRACKED UP!
