About Kevin
  • Education: A few School of the Bible classes from Crown College in Powell, TN.
  • Experience: 4 1/2 years as senior pastor of a small church in Oliver Springs, TN, six months as Assistant Pastor at a church in Knoxville, TN.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Use them as you will. Do not substitute my sermon for your study time. Study the scriptures for yourself, let the holy spirit guide you, and be obedient to that leading!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: The "R" Series...a series of sermons the Lord gave to me in which the title began with the letter R and dealt with revival in the church. Made a huge impact in the spirit of our little rural church and on the lives of the people.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The folded Napkin The Tree in the storm
  • Family: Loving wife, 4 daughters, supportive and loving parents (of which my dad is a pastor), as well as supportive in-laws.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents love my sermons, they're my parents!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is my toughest critic, but also my best friend. Very supportive, extremely supportive.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach as if there is someone lost in every service!
  • Hobbies: Coaching my daughter's fastpitch softball team
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Give your heart and life to Jesus. Serve him with everything you have, unashamedly and hold nothing back!
  • What I want on my tombstone: He served the Lord with all his heart. Preached the gospel unashamedly and truthfully.

I want to take a few reasons why I believe it was good for them to be there and apply them to reasons why it is good for us ...read more

Could you go a little farther? What areas in your life do you only go so far, only to find out you missed a blessing because you didn't go far enough. In this message, we look at a few areas in which we could go a little a farther.

This passage of scripture is a familiar one to us. It is often preached out of on “Resurrection Day” in churches across the country. It is a passage that shows us the empty tomb and the frantic state of Mary Magdalene. Mary runs to find Peter and John; she tells them that the Lord has ...read more
