• Comment to those looking at my sermons: The only education I have received is my only private study time. I do not have a degree.
• Sermon or series that made a difference: Purpose Driven Life Series by Rick Warren Grace for the Race by Johnny Hunt
• One of my favorite illustrations: Our Christian life is like a garden. We have to keep the weeds pulled, and the ground worked.
• Family: Married to a beatiful lady, Polly, and have two wonderful children - Jacob is 16 yrs old and is active in football, and Jessica is 14 yrs old and is active in cheerleading. Both of my children and my wife are actively involved in our church ministries.
• What my parents think of my sermons: My father is in heaven. My mother is a devoted Christian that loves to hear me preach.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She strongly supports and encourages me. Shows great interest in my sermons.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Be yourself, trust God for grace Always be prepared (outline, notes, etc) Let Go and Let God have his way! Don’t chase rabbits.
• Books that have had an impact: Purpose Driven Life Purpose Driven Church
• Hobbies: Hunting, Hiking, ATV’s, Fishing
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus...it would all be about the glory, power, and Love of Jesus!
• Something funny that happened while preaching: My child who was 3 yrs old came up to the pulpit and asked to go to the potty. (wife was home sick and I had children at church with me). At this time our church did not have a nursery and I had asked Jacob to sit behind the pulpit while I peached. Wow, was I ever embarassed when he made this request very loud!
• What I want on my tombstone: Meet me in heaven!
