About Katherine
  • Education: Master of Divinity from McMaster Divinity College, Hamilton Ontario Canada; Bachelor of Arts from Western University, London Ontario Canada.
  • Experience: 25 years as a pastor and previous to that I was engaged in serving the Lord as a church organist/pianist, as a youth leader, and as a camp counsellor.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I don't consider myself to be an eloquent preacher, but I do my best to speak only what the bible says, not adding to it or subtracting from it.
  • Family: My husband Paul and I have three grown children, Angela and her husband Steve who have two children, Dawson (16) and Emily (15); Tina and her husband Jay who have two children, Caleb (13) and Quinleigh (12); and Gerald and his wife Sarah who have two children, Olivia (7) and Meredith (4). They are all serving our Lord in their various churches within Canada and the United States. Many of them are being drawn in missions abroad.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They thought I was a great preacher.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Good stuff!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: keep it simple, and don't try and deliver too much at once
  • Books that have had an impact: Radical by David Platt, The Bondage Breaker by Neil Anderson, Vertical Church by James Macdonald, Fresh Wind Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala, The Way of the Shepherd by Dr. Kevin Leman and William Pentak
  • Hobbies: cats, horses, sewing/quilting, and fishing
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Be Saved!
  • What I want on my tombstone: I hope I made a difference.
