About John
  • Education: I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a secondary education certification. Currently I am working towards my M. Div. through the Church of God Theological Seminary. Pam is completing the last few hours of her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education.
  • Experience: We began our ministry in 1992 serving as youth and music ministers in a small local church in central Arkansas. We then served as associate and youth pastors at my home church in Mena, Arkansas for two years. Following that I spent one year pastoring a small church in Bryant, Arkansas; then two years as the Worship Leader of River of Life Church. Four years ago in August of 2000, I became the Senior Pastor at River of Life where I am continuing today.
  • Family: My wife, Pam, and I have been married for 14 years(since we graduated high school in 1990.) We have two sons, Marcus and Jonathan, who are as of today 10 and 8, respectively.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Pray yourself empty then study yourself full.
  • What I want on my tombstone: "He fulfilled his purpose for his generation."
